And I am so proud to announce that a check in the amount of $2048 was mailed to the Getris Family this week on behalf of the Class of '90 as a contribution to the Bill Getris Memorial Scholarship. We came together to celebrate and also gave back to our alma mater. We most certainly rule.

The best class there ever was.

Our twenty year reunion is less than two weeks away we've got a great crowd coming! If you haven't bought your tickets, don't miss out! If you plan to attend, no tickets will be sold the day of the event, so get 'em early.

Here is what we have planned:

Friday, October 15: Home game at SHS. The Activities Director has said that any person who graduated from SHS in 1990 can come to the game free! She has said that she will have a list of all Class of 1990 graduates at the tunnel gate and will let anyone on the list in the game for free. JV game is at 5:00 and the Varsity game is at 7:30. Goooo Cowboys!

Saturday, October 16 @ 9:00am. The Activities Director will be hosting a tour of SHS at 9:00am. Meet at the marquee and see how SHS has evolved in the 20 years since we’ve been there. Some things are exactly the same, some things are very different but one thing remains - SHS is a still a school to be proud of! Ruth (Dierolf) Jones is coordinating the football game and SHS tour. Saturday, October 16 @ 6:00- 11:00pm. The Main Event! Appetizers, dinner, dessert and dancing at Corral de Tierra Country Club. Attire is "dressy casual". (Please no denim as per Corral's banquet policy.) There will also be a no-host bar that is CASH ONLY. This should be a fun, relaxed night in a beautiful setting and the perfect occasion to celebrate our youth! Bring it, class of '90!

Sunday, October 17 @ 11:00. Meet at Spreckels Park for a family picnic. Bring your family and lunch to catch up a little more with friends before the weekend ends. Finally, please share this info with anyone you still keep in touch with. After all this time, we would hate to hear that someone didn't know we were having a reunion!

Tickets are $75 per person before September 15, 2010 and $85 per person after September 15, 2010. Don't forget to include an email address and contact information (including the name you went by in high school) with your payment so we can let you know you payment has been received.

We also have a paypal option if you prefer to pay by credit card. Paypal charges us $2.48 for each $75 received and we have about a $0.63 per ticket "profit" for name tags, etc. so if paying by paypal, your total cost will be $77.50 per person to cover the paypal fees.

Calling all SHS Classes of 1987 - 1993!

Didn't graduate with the Class of 1990 but interested in attending our reunion? Here is an open invitation to anyone who graduated from 1987 - 1993 (all the classes that were at SHS while we were there) to join us Saturday, October 16th! We'd love for you to celebrate with us! (Some have expressed an interest in attending and we just wanted to make the invitation official!)

Believe it or not, our TWENTY year reunion is just around the corner! Please mark your calendars and plan your travel now!

We want our reunion to be as comfortable and casual as possible and are therefore suggesting, "dressy casual" attire. The only thing excluded from this suggestion are jeans and t-shirts (per Corral de Tierra's banquet policy). Please come as you are. We've all grown-up a lot since high school and know who we are - which is reason enough to celebrate!

Friday afternoon, there will be a tour of SHS and a home football game that night. Sunday after the reunion, join us for a casual family picnic at Spreckels Park at 11:00am. Bring your lunch and a blanket for another opportunity to catch up or rehash Saturday's party!
